Crossville City Council members discussed regulations on mobile homes within the city limits during their monthly work session on Tuesday. Current city regulations limit moving a manufactured home that is more than 10 years old on a single lot, while homes placed in mobile home parks are subject to current HUD standards that limits homes to 5 years old. Council is considering removing the word “current” from the requirements and allow older homes that meet HUD standards at the time of their construction to be placed in mobile home parks. The matter is to be further discussed at next weeks regular meeting.
