The City of Crossville set a record collection amount according to City Manager Greg Wood. Wood reported to council during their monthly session on Tuesday that sales tax collections for the month of December came in at $1.02 million. Collections for beer remained steady at almost $51,000 for the period, while liquor revenue almost doubled from the same time last year. Wood did report that collections from the hotel occupancy tax continue to sag by about 20 percent.
