A Tennessee man has been charged with fatally shooting Kentucky State Trooper Hayden Phillips, age 30, Monday afternoon during a traffic stop on I-65 in western Kentucky.
Authorities issued a Blue Alert for the shooting suspect’s vehicle and 51-year-old Emonnie Branch, of Portland, Tennessee was captured around 6:30pm Monday in Louisville.
Branch has been charged with murder of a first responder or peace officer.
