It was a defensive battle in Knoxville on Saturday between the #14 Tennessee Volunteers and the #1 Texas Longhorns. Just when the Vols seemed out of the game trailing Texas 20-10 with four minutes left in the game and the Longhorns with possession, Tennessee’s defense got a stop, the offense scored a touchdown, and the Vols then recovered a onside kick. The Vols would fall just short after a hail mary throw was swatted away.
Tennessee drops to 3-1 on the season after a final score of 20-17. The Vols are back in Neyland next Saturday (10/3) for a 2:30 kickoff against the Auburn Tigers. The Vols will be sporting their Neyland Legacy Smokey Grey Uniforms that game as well. That game can be heard on 102.5 WOW Country.
