Conservation Field Day Set for Sept. 17, Deadline to Register September 9

The Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) will be having a Conservation Field Day on Thursday, September 17, 2026. It will be held U.T. Plateau Research and Education Center. The program will start at 4:00 p.m. CST.

Speakers will include U.T./TSU Extension Agent Gregg Upchurch, Quail Forever Grazing Specialist John Maynard, Cumberland County SWCD Soil Conservationist Janet Dowlen, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service District Conservationist Cody Franklin.

Additional sponsors for this event include the Tennessee Department of Agriculture (TDA) Water Resources, TDA Agricultural Enhancement Program, and USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service.

A meal will be served at the conclusion of the presentations. Reservations are requested so an adequate amount of food can be prepared.
