Wednesday morning, the THP responded to a crash involving a car and members of the Milligan University cycling team on Highway 19 in Carter County in East Tennessee.
Two students died and several others were injured.
Sixty-nine-year-old John Benfield, of North Carolina has been charged with two counts of vehicle homicide and five counts of aggravated assault by vehicle.
