The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance is commending the hard work of Crossville Fire & Rescue during the recent “Get Alarmed, Tennessee!” smoke alarm canvass. Volunteers checked 200 alarms to make sure they were in good working order, installed 300 smoke alarms, and 60 carbon monoxide detectors. TDCI says the alarms installed by these volunteers could one day end up saving the lives of residents affected by home fire or a carbon monoxide leak.
