Morgan County Inmate Indicted for Fatally Stabbing Correctional Officer

A Morgan County grand jury has indicted inmate Reginald C. Steed for fatally stabbing Correctional Officer Dustin Pedigo in February.  Steed is charged with first-degree murder and unlawful weapon in a penal facility.  After the stabbing, Steed was been moved from the prison in Wartburg to the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution in Nashville.  The grand jury is slated to meet again June 23^rd to hear testimony about safety issues with the Morgan County Correctional Complex.
