Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Press Release:
On Wednesday Evening, May 6, 2026, Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 on a white Nissan Sedan for failure to maintain lane and illegal window tint.
Deputies made contact with the driver and noticed a strong odor of Marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputy Reed and K9 Tuco conducted an open-air sniff around the car. K9 Tuco positively indicated on the vehicle for the presence of illegal narcotics.
A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 2 pounds Methamphetamine and $3,066 of US Currency. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported to the Putnam County Jail.
Tynerick Dewon Turner, of Nashville, TN, was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of Methamphetamine. Turner has a bond set at $55,000 and a court date of June 8, 2026.
Arhson Dejun Jackson, of Madison, TN, was charged with Manufacture, Delivery, Sell of Methamphetamine. Jackson has a bond set at $55,000 and a court date of June 6, 2026.
