Fentress County Sheriff’s Office Shuts Down Methamphetamine Distribution Operation

Fentress County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Agents successfully concluded a four-day investigation that resulted in the arrest of Leonard Thomas Norris and in the seizure of a very substantial quantity of illegal drugs, cash, and paraphernalia from his residence on Norris Road in the Clarkrange community.

During the operation, investigators seized over one-quarter pound of Methamphetamine that was packaged for resale, approximately one pound of Marijuana shake and buds, approx. 7.2 grams of Cocaine, and a variety of other pharmaceutical narcotics, including Hydrocodone, Percocet, Xanax, and Subutex.

Investigators also seized over $8,200 in U.S. currency, which included $1,000 in marked investigative funds used in the operation. Officers recovered multiple items consistent with narcotics distribution, including digital scales, small plastic baggies, packaging materials, syringes, and a small marijuana grow setup with grow lights and live Marijuana plants. Additional items recovered included firearms accessories, surveillance equipment, and a police scanner.
