The Cookeville Police Department received a call around 10 o’clock Friday night (10/24/2025) reporting a possible bomb threat near the old courthouse on the Square in Cookeville.
Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Deputies also responded to the area and it was determined to be a false call originating from out of town.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
