Cumberland County August Financials Mixed

According to figures from Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster, the county collected almost $42,000 in building permit fees in August, while EMS revenue of just over $360,000 fell short of projections by $73,000, leaving year-to-date collections approximately $14,000 below estimates. Sales tax brought in $1.5 million, exceeding expectations by just under $16,000. Hotel/motel taxes totaled $124,462 year to date, an 11 percent drop from last year.
