Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on the Rinnie Stretch in Cumberland County Saturday night (8/2/2025). It happened around 7:43pm. According to the THP, 40-year-old Amanda Mennig was traveling south on 127N in a Toyota Highlander and was attempting to turn left onto Beaty Road. Thirty-eight-year-old Brandon Neagley was driving an F150, one vehicle behind Mennig, when Neagly reportedly pulled into the northbound lane before the intersection of Beaty Road and Highway 127 to pass. The Highlander T-Boned the F150. Neagly’s truck hit a utility pole and flipped. Mennig was able to come to a controlled stop and the THP says the Highlander was able to be driven from the scene. The F150 was towed. The THP says both drivers were hurt but does not list the extent of their injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no charges are pending. The wreck tied up traffic in both directions and knocked out power to over 800 VEC customers. VEC responded immediately to the scene and electricity was soon restored.
