The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office has given an update after an infant was dropped off in a car seat and abandoned in someone’s yard Tuesday afternoon (7/29/25) in Northwest Tennessee. Witnesses called police and the 7-month-old girl is okay. Dyer County investigators are actively working alongside the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at a crime scene in Lake County, where four of the baby’s relatives been found deceased.
The victims are the little girl’s mother and father, 21-year-old James Matthew Wilson and 20-year-old Adrianna Williams – and the child’s maternal grandmother and maternal uncle, 38-year-old Cortney Rose and 15-year-old Braydon Williams.
The deaths are considered homicides. The TBI and FBI have been requested to assist with this investigation and search for suspects.
