A Crossville man faces numerous charges after he allegedly tried to flee from a traffic stop on early Tuesday morning (July 8, 2025). According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, 25-year-old Jerrycole Lester Green was observed making an abrupt turn onto Al Goss Road without using a turn signal. Deputy Shawn Aytes reports he attempted to stop the Ford Ranger but it continued past multiple driveways before stopping on Buddy’s Trail. Mr. Green was asked to exit the truck and was placed into handcuffs. A search of the vehicle revealed a shotgun that had been sawed off below the legal length of 18 inches with the serial number filed off. Mr. Green was charged with driving on a suspended license, felony evading, possession of a prohibited weapon, and alteration of serial numbers. Green was transported to the Cumberland County jail for booking and his bond was set at $19,500. He is due in General Sessions Court on August 4th (2025).
