Putnam County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Out-of-State Police Academy Recruit For Inappropriate Contact With a Minor

The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Dayton, Ohio Police Academy Recruit following an investigation into inappropriate online communication with a minor who resides in Putnam County.

In late February, Putnam County Investigators began investigating 29-year-old Christopher Noe, who police say had knowingly engaged in inappropriate conversations with a minor via Snapchat.

An arrest warrant was issued and on February 26th (2025) police in  Dayton, Ohio took Noe into custody in their jurisdiction on behalf of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. At the time of the offenses Noe was enrolled in a Police Academy in Dayton, Ohio.

On Thursday, (April 3, 2025) Christopher Noe was booked into the Putnam County Jail and charged with Solicitation of a Minor by an Authority Figure and Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor by an Authority Figure.
