A pedestrian was fatally injured in an accident early Monday (9/30/24) morning in Clarkrange.
According to the THP, it happened around 5:20am at the intersection of Highway 127 and Hwy 62 in Fentress County.
The report states that a dump truck traveling south on Highway 127 attempted to make a right turn onto Highway 62 when 60-year-old Ester R. Dovel walked into the truck’s travel lane from a gas station parking lot on the right.
The dump truck hit Dovel and she passed away from her injuries.
The truck driver was not hurt and no charges are pending.
