Due to an increase in bear activity, Great Smoky Mountains National Park has announced they will be the Gatlinburg Trail between Gatlinburg and Sugarlands Visitor Center and the Twin Creeks Trail between Gatlinburg and the Twin Creeks Science and Education Center. This just days after a bear broke into a rental cabin in near downtown Gatlinburg and injured a man. WVLT reports the trails will be closed until further notice.
