Dr. Jason Martin picked up the Democratic nod for governor by a slim margin over JB Smiley in Tuesday’s State Democratic Primary. Martin edged out Smiley by 1468 votes. He will face off against the incumbent Republican candidate, Bill Lee in November. Other races set for November include the Tennessee House of Representatives District 25 where the incumbent Republican candidate, Cameron Sexton will be up against the Democrat nominee, Anne Ferrell Quillen. The race for US House of Representatives District 6 will be the incumbent Republican John Rose and the Democrat nominee, Randall Cooper.
