Possible Mail Theft On Mayberry Street

A Mayberry Street resident reported that a check he wrote to Volunteer Electric was possibly stolen out of his mailbox.  The victim told Crossville Police that on Wednesday (5/18/2022) he placed the $36.53 check in the box and put the flag up.  A short while later as he was standing in his yard he saw a silver 4 door Ford driven by a male with a blonde female passenger pull up to his mailbox and open it.  The victim hurried to the mailbox and saw that the check was gone and yelled after the vehicle which kept on going.  He contacted his bank and the account has been frozen.  The suspects had not been identified at the time of the report.
