In a special called session of the Crossville City Council, council members approved the 1st reading of an ordinance setting the tax rate for the fiscal year 2022-23 in title only. With the recent reappraisal, the new certified tax rate is set at .6194 cents. The rate must be approved on two more readings. Council also approved the appointment of members to a Building Code Board of Appeals. Persons appointed were Jerry Wood, James Wattenbarger, Ronnie Wyatt, Jamie Smith and Chuck Burgess.
