Elevator Falls 11 Floors In Knoxville Apartment Building Tuesday Afternoon, No Injuries Reported

An elevator fell 11 floors in a Knoxville apartment building Tuesday afternoon.  WVLT reports there were no injuries.  The elevator, one of two at Westview Tower Apartments, was being serviced when it plummeted.  Officials say it could have been deadly if people had been inside.  It remains unclear why it fell.
