The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports the death of a sixteen-year-old Crossville boy following a pursuit around 1:40 am Tuesday. According to the THP, the teenager, whose name has not been released, was traveling south on Highway 127 in the Homesteads while fleeing from law enforcement. The 2016 Toyota ran off the road, eventually striking a tree that separated the front end from the passenger compartment near the entrance to Pigeon Ridge Road. The report states the boy was wearing a seat belt.
