Cumberland County’s COVID-19 Deaths Increase By 3; Active Cases Up By 160 In 4 Days

Beginning this year, the Tennessee Department of Health will release COVID-19 data once per week.  On Wednesday, January 12, 2022, TDH released its report dated Saturday, January 8, 2022.   The previous report was Tuesday, January 4, 2022 and over the four day period, Cumberland County reported 3 more COVID-19 deaths bringing the county’s coronavirus fatalities to 278 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.  Cumberland County’s active COVID-19 cases climbed by 160 for a total of 442 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.  Cumberland County’s positive COVID-19 cases increased by 225 over the same period to a total of 12,415 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.  Across the state, 143 more COVID-19 deaths were reported in just four days, bringing Tennessee’s toll to 21,095 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.  Tennessee’s positive cases grew by 77,519 for a total of 1,540,515 on Saturday, January 8, 2022.
