Positive case rose by 41 to 11,950 on Monday, December 27, 2021. Active cases fell by 3 to 149 on Monday, December 27, 2021. Statewide, 15,200 additional COVID-19 cases were reported over the Christmas holiday, bringing the total to 1,382,121. The Tennessee Department of Health reports the statewide death toll rose by 225 to a total of 20,613, which is 31 people less than the Chief Medical Examiner’s findings of 20,644 deaths since spring 2020.
