Monday, December 20, 2021 is the First Day to pick up a petition for the May 3, 2022 County Primary. Up for election in the Cumberland County Primary are: Mayor, Trustee, General Sessions Judge, Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Road Superintendent, (unexpired term) Assessor of Property, and School Board (odd districts) 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th.
In the 13th Judicial Primary: Circuit Court Judge Part 1 & 2, Chancellor, Criminal Court Judge Part 1 & 2, District Attorney General and Public Defender.
Candidates must qualify for the ballot by noon on February 17, 2022.
