A Knoxville man stopped for speeding was caught with numerous stolen driver’s licenses and stolen credit cards.  According to the Crossville Police Department, shortly after 2am Wednesday, 26-year-old Brandon Dawayne Lowery pulled out of the parking lot of McDonald’s on Peavine Road at a high rate of speed.  As he drove at approximately 70 mph in a 45 mph speed zone, Lowery refused to pull over.  Officers from both the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department and Crossville Police Department deployed spike strips in the area of Volunteer Gas on Peavine Road.  This caused three flat tires on the suspect’s vehicle and his car came to a stop in the area of the westbound I-40 321 mile marker.  As officers approached, Lowery refused to follow commands and an officer had to use a baton to shatter the driver’s side window.  The suspect was forcefully removed from the vehicle.  Lowery told police that he had fled Knox County Sheriff’s deputies a couple of hours earlier, which was confirmed.  A search of his vehicle revealed numerous plastic cards that did not belong to Mr. Lowery, including two driver’s licenses and 11 bank and shopping cards. He was charged with Evading Arrest, Reckless Driving, and Driving On A Revoked License.  Lowery was transported to the Cumberland County Jail where Knox County faxed a hold for the warrants they took against him.
