Cumberland County’s COVID deaths rose by 6 on Friday, September 24, 2021 bringing the county’s death toll to 196. Active cases fell by 9 to 588. Positive cases increased by 86 to 10,378.
Statewide, positive cases increased by 5,638 to a total of 1,209,568. Tennessee reported 85 additional coronavirus deaths on Friday and the total coronavirus deaths are now 14,825.
According to the Cumberland Medical Center and Covenant COVID-19 patient dashboard, all COVID-19 patients and ICU patients at CMC are unvaccinated. On Friday there were 43 confirmed or suspected COVID-19 hospitalizations at CMC. The median age of those in the CMC ICU is 61 and the median age of all COVID-19 hospitalizations is 68.
