Cumberland County’s active COVID-19 cases dropped by 49 from Thursday to 701 on Friday, September 10, 2021. Positive cases saw a one day increase of 96 for a total of 9,470. Deaths remained at 168.
Statewide, total positive cases went up by 5,168 on Friday to 1,124,713. Deaths rose by 11 to 13,890.
Cumberland County Mayor Allen Foster shared the following data from Cumberland Medical Center (CMC) and Covenant regarding current COVID-19 patients:
All COVID-19 ICU patients at CMC are unvaccinated and 91% of all COVID-19 patients at CMC are unvaccinated. Currently there are 47 confirmed or suspected COVID-19 hospitalizations at CMC. At CMC, the median age of those in the ICU is 67 and the median age of all COVID-19 hospitalizations is 71.
Free COVID-19 vaccines are available at the Cumberland County Health Department Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 4:30 PM. On Thursday vaccinations are available until 5:30 PM.
Testing hours are from to 9 am to 1 pm Monday – Friday. The tests are also free. If you have any questions, please contact the CCHD.
