Guest Allegedly Breaks Hotel Lobby Door Off Hinges When Refused Room Deposit For Smoking

Crossville Police were dispatched to the Red Roof Inn on Monday after an incident involving a disgruntled guest.  Police say the manager told the man that he could not get his deposit back due to smoking in his room.  That’s when the guest reportedly became angry and exited through the lobby door, swinging it open and breaking the door from the hinges.  Damage was estimated at $300.
