A 2.8 magnitude occurred in Campbell County around 3:30 Central Time Wednesday. WVLT reports it was about 7 miles deep, which is shallow for the region. No immediate reports of damage or injuries, but some people in LaFollette and along the Kentucky-Tennessee border said they heard a loud boom and their houses shook hard enough to rattle the dishes.
