A Crossville family is asking for prayers after their 1-year-old child was found unresponsive in a Koi pond at a home on Potato Farm Road on Saturday. Parents John and Lacie Neal performed CPR on their son, Samuel, with the guidance of a dispatcher until deputies arrived. EMS was able to get a faint heartbeat. A helicopter landed in a field near the home and Samuel was flown to UT Medical Center where he was stabilized and later transferred to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville. The Neal’s say Samuel was missing for only 3 to 5 minutes before he was discovered in the pond. On Lacie Neal’s Facebook page, she said Samuel has pneumonia and other complications. The family asks that you keep them in your prayers.
