Citizen Raises Privacy and Security Concerns Over Flock Surveillance Cameras

By Ronni Chase Aug 5, 2026 | 11:29 AM

Local resident Allen Sizemore addressed the Crossville City Council during their monthly work session on Tuesday, regarding Flock safety cameras. Sizemore raised concerns over security vulnerabilities and potential misuse. Sizemore highlighted cases where live feeds from Flock cameras were accessible online without logins and documented cases of law enforcement using the technology for personal tracking. He urged the council to terminate or refrain from renewing the Flock camera contract, or at least require an annual public vote and publish monthly usage reports. A second resident, Roger Romero, echoed these concerns, adding that the cameras pose a potential Fourth Amendment violation.
