A man has been arrested for allegedly hitting a pedestrian Wednesday afternoon in Grimsley and then fleeing.
Mathew Merz has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury.
The Fentress County Sheriff’s Office arrested a second man after the suspect’s vehicle was found at a home with a marijuana grow operation. Sonny Jenkins was charged with simple possession.
The investigation is ongoing and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty and convicted through due process of the law.
