Temporary Closure of Nemo Day Use Area and Rock Creek Campround due to Train Derailment in Morgan County

Obed Wild & Scenic River has temporarily closed Rock Creek Campground as well as Nemo Day Use Area for visitor safety after a train derailment that occurred June 11^th in Morgan County near Lancing.  The derailment caused an ethanol fire and due to concerns regarding contamination, the waters in that area are closed to swimming and fishing. This closure will be lifted when the damage has been assessed, and cleanup work has been completed.
