On day two of a trial in Roane County, 53-year-old Clifford Amos Koontz pled guilty to First Degree Murder in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Deetta Weaver, of Knox County. It happened in 2023 outside of his residence in Kingston. Koontz was sentenced to life in prison.
