A Florida truck driver has been cited after Crossville Police linked him to months of diesel thefts at the 7-Eleven on Highway 127. 7-Eleven’s corporate office reported the driver had repeatedly pumped more fuel than was paid for, dating back to Sept. 2. In one incident, the driver allegedly pumped 217 gallons but paid for only 23. The driver reportedly used a special key to open the pump’s lower panel and tamper with its gears. Police located the semi again and stopped it near the Highway 140 on-ramp. The driver, identified as 33-year-old Ariel Christiaens, was charged with theft of property and given a court date.
