Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance and State Fire Marshal Carter Lawrence and the members of Team TDCI recently presented grant monies of over $1.3 million to volunteer fire departments and rescue squads in Clay, Cumberland, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Morgan, Overton, Putnam, Scott, Smith, and Trousdale counties.
Among the grant recipients are the Cumberland County Fire Department which received $68,000; Cumberland County Emergency & Rescue Squad was granted $17,500; and the Fairfield Glade Fire Department was awarded $19,200.

Allardt Volunteer Fire Department $27,375.
Overton County Rescue Squad $59,770.
The Muddy Pond Volunteer Fire Department $10,000.

Wartburg Volunteer Fire $18,000.
The Monterey Fire Department $42,000.
The Putnam County Fire Department $63,600.
The Putnam County Rescue Squad $16,600.
