The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has a new, four-legged tool in the fight against crime in Tennessee. His name is Marvel, a 17-month-old, black Labrador Retriever with a specially-trained ability to sniff out electronic storage devices such as hard drives, flash drives, and micro-SD cards less than a millimeter thick – which may hold critical evidence, especially in child exploitation cases. When not utilizing his ESD capabilities, Marvel will serve as a comfort companion to both law enforcement officers and the public, such as child victims. He will also assist in stress diffusion and show off his skills to school and civic groups. (Photo courtesy TBI.)
