On Wednesday (9/17/2025), a White Plains Academy Student was involved in an altercation and sent to the principal’s office but instead chose to leave school grounds. This prompted a large law enforcement response, with Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputies and Algood Police Officers immediately conducting a search of the surrounding area. With the assistance of Putnam County Sergeant Jake Dronebarger and K9 Iris, the juvenile was safely located in a nearby brush pile.
