A Ukrainian man has been arrested for his alleged role in trying to scam an elderly Cumberland County man out of thousands of dollars. Investigators made contact with the victim, who lived in the Midway community, and had already withdrawn $50,000 after scammers told him his social security number would be suspended if he did not pay. A sting operation was set up and when a courier arrived to pick up the cash, they arrested 25-year-old Volodymyr Katauev of Ukraine. United States Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has since placed a hold on Volodymyr Katauev who is still in custody on a $400,000 bond. (Photo courtesy CCSO.)
