A Crossville couple has lost $800 in a Facebook rental scam. According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the husband and wife answered an ad on Facebook for a house that was for rent in Cumberland County on Wilson Road. The wife reportedly messaged a lady by the name of Charlotte William who advised her to purchase Apple Cards, which she did, totaling $800. The wife then sent pictures of the cards to the suspect and has since gotten no reply back from this person.
