The Tennessee Volunteers are ranked 7th in the nation in Men’s basketball this week and they tried to uphold that ranking as they played host to the Wofford Terriers. After a shaky first half Tennessee would go on to defeat the Terriers with a final of 82-61.
Leading the Volunteers in scoring was once again Dalton Knecht putting up 18 points on the Wofford defense. Jordan Gainey was behind him in scoring with 16 points and Santiago Vescovi put up 11 points. Corey Tripp was the leading scorer for the Terriers scoring 19 points. Chase Cormier put up 15 points and Jackson Sivills rounded out the top scorers for Wofford with 10 points.
Next up for the 7th ranked Volunteers is a trip to New York to go against the Syracuse Orange. The #7 Tennessee Volunteers and the Syracuse Orange will face off on Monday November 20th at 1:30 PM.
