Tennessee Joins Georgia for “Operation Southern Slow Down”

On Monday, July 17, the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO) will join the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Georgia State Patrol, and other partners to promote “Operation Southern Slow Down.” The purpose of this multi-jurisdictional campaign, which runs July 17 through July 23, 2023,  is to increase enforcement to reduce speeding across the Southeast in an effort to prevent future crashes, injuries, and fatalities. Other participating states will include Alabama, Florida, and South Carolina.
