The local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #38 will recognize National Police Week on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the outside area of the Cumberland County Courthouse in Crossville beginning at 11am . Everyone is welcome to attend the event to honor those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week, which this year is May 14 through May 20.
