In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15 falls, as National Police Week.
National Police Week (May 14 – May 21) pays special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others.
The local Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #38 will recognize National Police Week on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the outside area of the Cumberland County Courthouse in Crossville 11am . Everyone is welcome to attend the event.
