Longtime Crossville businessman, James Robert “Bob” Mitchell, age 93, has passed away. Bob Mitchell began working with his Uncle Joe Mitchell as a pharmacist at Mitchell’s Drug Store on Main Street, Crossville in 1952 and had been a fixture in the community ever since.
Funeral Services for James Robert “Bob” Mitchell, Jr., age 93, of Crossville, TN, who passed away on February 28, 2023, will be held on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Bilbrey Funeral Home with burial to follow at Green Acres Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Survivors: Wife- Mary Lou Mitchell; Son- Jim Mitchell (Jacquie); Daughter- Dr. Elizabeth Petty (Jim); Grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace Petty (Colton), Robert Alexander “Alex” Petty, Marissa Ava Van Kley (Kent) and James Dewey Mitchell; Brother- Richard “Ossie” Mitchell (Ruth); Nephews- Scotty Mitchell, Mark Mitchell, and Andy Mitchell.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to First United Methodist Church P.O. BOX 752 Crossville, TN 38557, Art Circle Library at 3 East St Crossville, TN 38555, or the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
