Residents Along Flynns Cove, Lantana And City Lake Road May Hear Loud Noise Sunday & Monday Due To Pressure Test On Natural Gas Pipeline

Cleary Construction – Middle Tennessee Natural Gas District – Emergency Notification of Blowing Down Test Pressure and Purging of Natural Gas –

Residents in the areas of Flynns Cove Road, Lantana  and City Lake Road should be aware that Cleary Construction will be conducting a “blow down” of test pressure on a natural gas pipeline beginning Sunday morning, September 18, 2022.  The pipeline test will cover approximately 9.5 miles in total length, from 3.1 miles on Flynn Cove Road from Lantana Road to City Lake Road.  The noise will be very loud but have no odor as the test is completed out of Nitrogen.  This “blow down” of test pressure will stop at the end of the day on Sunday and begin again and end on Monday, September 19th.

Beginning Wednesday afternoon, September 21st thru Friday, September 23, 2022 Middle Tennessee Natural Gas District will be working with Cleary Construction for adding “Capatan – (an odorant used for natural gas) and purging of the new natural gas pipeline.  Residents should be aware that this procedure will present the odor of natural gas in the air.
