By Ronni Chase May 21, 2022 | 4:18 PM

The Flealand FleaMarket on Highway 64 in Cleveland, Tennessee burned to the ground Saturday.  Officials say they responded to a call around noon to find the building fully involved.  An estimated $100,000 worth of fireworks for the Fourth of July went up in flames.  There were people inside the single-story strip mall but no reports of injuries. Numerous firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion as they battled to keep the blaze from spreading to other structures and a nearby wooded area.  The property is a total loss.

UPDATE:  Bradley County Fire Investigators have determined the cause of the flea market fire was electrical, due to overloading and excessive use of extension cords.
