Cumberland County COVID-19 Deaths Remain Same For Past Week As Statewide Positive Cases More Than Triple

Cumberland County reported no new deaths from coronavirus over a two week period with the death toll remaining at 327 on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  The county’s positive cases more than doubled from the previous week with 33 new cases, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases since pandemic reporting began in Cumberland County to 16,171 on Saturday, May 7, 2022.  Of those tested for COVID-19 in Cumberland County over the last 7 days 21.6% tested positive.  Cumberland County reports there have been a total of 347 COVID-19 hospitalizations as of Saturday, May 7 2022.

Across the state, the number of new COVID-19 cases more than tripled with an increase of 8,348 positive cases, bringing the state’s total positive coronavirus cases since pandemic reporting began to 2,036,315 on Saturday, May 7, 2022.   COVID-19 deaths went up by 39 over the 7 day period, bringing Tennessee’s coronavirus death toll to 26,209 on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, “worldometer” reported that the United States recorded 1,025,268 coronavirus deaths,  83,850,427 COVID-19 cases and 81,088,213 recoveries.
